Please could anyone recomend a restaurant/bar/cafe where I could order a tiramisu. The mousse kind with just a thin sponge base layer. I have ordered tiramisu in different(very nice) restaurants but have been dissapointed. It always presents as a kind of chocolate/coffee gateaux. I would travel for this pleasure and also for a fresh jam doughnut !!

Ambiance is delicious and the best i've had here so far. A friend had one at Patina when went a couple of years ago they said that was 100% authentic but as it was a long time ago don't know if it's still on the menu. good luck in your quest, and if you find any jam doughnuts similar to those sold in tesco please let me know. lol Denise

I think Lilly they make it different in different parts of Italy or so I have been told, but I am no expert, just know the one that is made with mascapone is delicious, to be fair not tried yours as I always opt for your scrummy chocolate mouse.
