Hi there,



Does anyone know the plans or events to celebrate Peace & Freedom Day on 20th July in Kyrenia.



Last year i remember the buzz and activities in the harbour, any updates on plans for this years celebrations.

It is always the same down by harbour.



There are speeches etc around 3.30 followed by march past of military, civil defence etc.



Then about 5.45 is the Turkish Stars air display which must not be missed. been last 3 years and just gets better.



The atmosphere is superb and a good time is had by all. If you are here, do not miss it.

There is to be a vigil on the night of the 19th/20th at Escape Beach, commencing at midnight and going to 5a.m. (the time of the landings) Details are on Facebook and I guess the organisers will be advefrtising it shortly here and on the Events page.



Another wayof giving a bit of thought to the date, especially in view of all the recent knocks against TRNC, the Turks and the Turkish Cypriots.
