I am not sure if this man is insane delusional or telling a joke when he made the statement below but I would reccomend he seeks professional hela asap

Prime Minister Ferdi Sabit Soyer has said that a failure to prepare for EU membership before a settlement is found in Cyprus will be ‘communal and national murder’ for the Turkish Cypriot People.

The Prime Minister received today Ambassador Oguz Demiralp, head of Turkey’s Undersecretariat General for EU Affairs who is in the TRNC to provide technical assistance for harmonization work.

Speaking during the visit, the Prime Minister said that EU harmonization work under 12 chapters was continuing despite political problems and difficulties being experienced with the bloc.

He said that the EU Coordination Centre will be informing the public about progress achieved in the harmonization process with a press conference in the coming days.

Underlining the importance of preparing for EU membership before a solution to the Cyprus Problem is found; Soyer warned that failure to do so will have dire political and economic consequences for the Turkish Cypriot people.

“Because that the Greek Cypriot Side is a member of the EU, the Turkish Cypriot Side’s failure to complete preparations for EU membership may bring Turkish Cypriots to the brink of losing its economic and political equality achieved on paper.”

For his part, Ambassador Oguz Demiralp pointed out that the TRNC was going through an important phase and expressed the hope that a date for the start of comprehensive negotiations will be come out of Friday’s meeting between the two leaders.

Expressing the view that the start of comprehensive peace talks will bring the TRNC closer to EU membership, Demiralp said that the TRNC will be faced with carrying out the difficult task of conducting negotiations and preparing for EU membership at the same time.

“We as the Turkish Republic’s Undersecretariat General for EU affairs want to help prepare the TRNC for EU membership” he added.

Warning that a failure to prepare for EU membership could bear serious consequences, Demiralp said that the EU was made up of a series of norms, which if the TRNC applied well, would be able to experience a smooth transition

Do you think that 'human rights' might be one area the TRNC might like to start thinking about?

If this country joins EU God help us all.

Prices will rocket even more than now, we would end up with all the human rights crap, all the health and safety and anything else that controls freedom.

STAY AWAY YOU STUPID PEOPLE!!!!!!!

No doubt you are one of those "eager" people that welcome the control of bureaucrats from Brussels who ride roughshod over everybody and everything and are accountable to nobody.

Personally would welcome a union with Iran as more preferable.

Soyer must be fairly confident of a Cyprus solution
