What is that in the sky over Karakum and Ozankoy at 21.30. Something flying past, no sound just an orange light, just an orange light over the sea. It is very strange???????

We thought it was a paper lantern such as you see in Thailand & the Far East. They are about 5' high with a ring at the bottom similar to a firelighter, you light them, hold them down until the hot air has built up inside & then let them go whilst making a wish. It was moving pretty fast though & horizontally whereas in Thailand they keep going up & up until they disappear from sight. We saw another one coming up but it did not rise far & went down again presumably in the Harbour area - this is considered very unlucky!

Crofter. I seen that light twice.

First time it was coming from the direction of Turkey. A red light, no sound and several thousand feet up. I watched it for about two minutes and then it went out.

About 25 minutes later it was over towards the mountains in the direction of the Abbey. I called my wife and we both watched it again for a minute or two and then the light went out for a few seconds,came back on and peated this twice more.

At no time was there any sound.

It looks to me as though the GCs prayers have been answered. The Alians have come to hep them remove the Turkish Army from Cyprus.



My GC cousins in the south will sleep better now they realise that the alians have finally arrived to help them.

I was at the brazilian restaurant last week and they sent these chinese style lanterns off into the air with the flame sending them several hundred feet in the air before disappearing out of site.
