I went up to see the new location today and it is superb. If you thought that the Alsancak location was good then you have to go and try the new Lapta Charcos. The Alsancak bistro is now closed. There is plenty of parking at the new location, the menu is unchanged and there is a lot more room on the outside terracing. The 'easy to get to' directions are take the main road along the Lapta strip and turn left taking the turn off to the Chat Lam market and when you get to Lapta Police Station turn right and follow the road and you will find it on the right hand side. No more information as it needs to be kept secret Oh by the way you might have to put up with me playing guitar with Celal every now and again. AJ

Plenty of parking?? There is really no street parking in the immediate vicinity as the roads are too narrow. There is a privately owned bit of land opposite but it's not very big and the owners use it for parking their vehicles. The locals are not going to be best pleased by cars parked across their entrances I don't imagine. I've already had cars parked across the end of my drive and the damn place has only been open for about 4 days!

Msg 17 I would second that and add that food not so good and when we complained they were not interested all they wanted to do was make sure that no one else seen us complaining--- in fact quite intimidating from the owners ,considering there was 12 of us. Certainly never be back
