She's apologised, what a surpise. Now, if the lawsuit goes ahead her fans and the watching world will say "she's apologised, what more do you want?"

I think Cratos Hotel should gracefully accept the apology and move on. Cratos can use this apology as an opportunity to say something like: "Jennifer Lopez has accepted that she was wrong to deny the Turkish Cypriots' right to celebrate their independence day...." or words to that effect. I'm sure a public relations expert can spin this positively for the Hotel so they can come out of it smelling of roses and JLo coming across as an unreliable and ignorant person.

Going ahead with the lawsuit, especially after JLo's apology, is a recipe for disaster and will do the TRNC no favours at all.

msg 3;

"what apology?"

An apology for realising that "she is just a singer and not a politician" and the fact that she was coming to sing at Cratos Hotel not at TRNC.......as much as thats where the hotel is.

Why is everyone coming down so hard on J lo, dont people realise thats she's just a puppet! she has PA etc who are telling her exactly what to say. There's no getting away that J Lo is a great singer weather you like her style or not, personally i think Beyounce is better thou but that has nothing to do with it. If anyones to blame it's her management, she was probably asked how would you like to perform in Cyprus for X amount of pounds and said "sure"

Give J Lo a break!!

Here's the wording of the apology, taken from her official site.

Message from Jennifer ."This whole situation makes me so sad. The statement that was issued by my representatives was done without my knowledge or consent. It is my personal policy not to comment on political issues between countries. I love my fans all over the world.

I want to sincerely apologize if anyone was hurt or offended in any way. Again, I am truly sorry."

But is she coming over? An apology is no good if she don't honour the contract!

Well it's clear she's now been told her sales in Turkey will slump.... otherwise I can't see why the apology has been made.

It's almost certainly an admission of guilt in terms of contract law and any lawsuit would be much simpler to pursue as a direct result...

I think she's apologising for the statement that was put out (by here people) saying she had cancelled! (I'm thinking there might be some job vacancies on JLo's staff shortly!)

For goodness sake Cratos, let it go.

A lawsuit can only do harm for the image of the TRNC and Turkey. Have you seen the messages left on JLo's website by angry Turks? It's getting very nasty to the point that JLo had to take down and ban messages being left on her site.

This matter is in danger of spiralling out of control into an internet and media war between angry Turks and protective JLo fans - there are millions on both sides and this can only end in tears for the TRNC.

It's time to accept the apology and move on...this is not a good time to be stubborn and Cratos should be told by Eroglu that the TRNC's international image is much more important than their business interests. Time for a tactical withdrawal while it's still not too late.

They should sue the ar*e off her. Mind you, looking at the size of her rear it would have to be a big sue.

I think she should be forced to fulfil her contract with the hotel.

In addition as an act of good faith and a thank you to the people of TRNC who support her do a free concert at Ataturk Stadium in Lefkosa.

I am sure she had little or nothing to do with the cancellation, she has minions running around doing that and the GC sympathiser who set up the cancellation should be sacked by the lady for causing bad publicity to her good name.

Can we start up an appeal for the poor lady and as GCs started this stupidity, they can perhaps contribute towards the fine that she will have to pay eventually.

Now, come on boys and girls, do the decent thing and get this poor woman out of the hole you pushed her in.

I think the pressure that made "them" decide to cancel came only from Greeks in the USA and not from Greek Cypriots or South Cyprus.

But they will take the credit for it, like they do.....

So long as they contribute towards the cost of the fine, they will actually feel better about it. It doesn't matter that they are useless and can't arrange a piss up in brewery.
