Be aware! I popped into Starling to get some milk, found it more expensive than anywhere locally and was short changed at the till. I questioned the cashier immediatley and she reluctantly returned 1TL, I kept at her until I had my correct change. I will not shop in that store again.

You and me both, I have been short changed in there more times than I care to remember. I always check my change. Their attitude stinks and I would rather spend money where my custom is appreciated and that is certainly not Starling.

Well, I can only speak as I find, New Starlings (Karakum), great service, fresh stock, great range, short changed??, beat them at their own game, bill comes to 25.70, round it down with correct change, 99% of the time they'll waiver the other 20 Kurus.

never really had any problems. They tend to round down the price for me if they can't give the correct change and they've got to know me so know which fags I smoke ;-) I just find the fresh veg a bit crap so started going to Ya Beles. Much better quality, a lot fresher. Bought a bulb of garlic there last week and the cloves are the biggest I have ever seen. Bought an onion aswell, was huge. 1kg. Could only just get my fingers round the base, and I have long fingers

it seems all the supermarkets are the same with the change so i always pay with a debit card regardless how smaill the amount is, that way you pay the correct amount, no one here ever seem to go the bank and get change for the till maybe there short of it

Just got back from buying bananas at Ya Beleş cost was 4.29 TL

I offered 4 x 1 TL coins and some 'shrapnel' - not 'quite' enough to make up the 29 Kuruş, and the girl just took the 4 TL and said 'OK' - now that's more than fair!
