i got my all legel premition to open jashan restaurant at glass view bay bahceli.

I'm pleased to have a proper Indian Restaurant in the area and wish them well and every success.



Please everyone be mindful of those who live nearby and will be disturbed by any excessive noise etc. and leave the establishment quietly... No shouting goodbye, no car horns, no wheel spins a la Lewis Hamilton... It's just not cool... is it?



Park sensibly, enjoy your meal and don't make a nuisance of yourself. I know we should all do this anyway but with a drink in them some folk just can't help themselves....

I wish you every success Riaz I am sure that the new restaurant will be every bit as successful as Jashans and the Punjab. We first met you when we moved here in 2004 and have never had a bad meal in any of your restaurants.

Hello Navek our speciality is indian food so we have lots of choices in chicken,lamb,beef,prawn,king prawn and vegetabe dishes.

So all positive then Jashan, congratulations.

So what about the residents on the small residential estate you have chosen to blight with your Indian restaurant? No restaurant on their plans was there.

It is obvious that the TRNC authorities say sod the lot of them which is not unexpected at all really, about par for the course.

Everyone else is happy cos it isnt in their back yard causing noise and smells and Jashan is happy cos there is more profit.

Further congratulations to the landlord of the property rented to Jashan. Must be a first class guy!!

Just driven past the new restaurant, it looks great and right on the outside of Glass View Bay, having eaten with you many, many times we are sure you will be successful this side of Girne.



We live very close to another Residential Development Restaurant (3 houses away) on the outskirts of Esentepe where there were never any plan's however do not have rowdy groups,litter, smells and noise - apart from the odd singer on a Saturday night, its not been a problem for us at all and we hope that Glass View residents experience the same as we do which as a regular customer of Jashan's im sure you will.



Look forward to the opening, we will be there - if we can get a table .........

Ref Msgs 79/82 - Mint1955, I cannot answer for breezyboy. However, I do live on GVB and do not recognise his profile as being a resident here. He does, however, make valid points and despite the Mayor of Esentepe's avowed promise not to give permission, the prospect of filthy lucre won out again. Not one resident, actually here or absent, agreed to a restaurant opening on this small residential estate and all signed a petition against it, which was lodged both in Esentepe and Girne. The Mayor's word/promises are worthless!

first of all there are 2 posts as the first didn't come up as a reply for some time.

If you have seen previous postings on this subject with numerous owners you will have seen that I own very close by. However the point I have been trying to make is that the authorities have now shown that they don't care about those who have bought on a site which was planned as purely residential.

If a site like Crystal Bay marina has a restaurant on it when you buy off plan then you know about it from the start. If they allow houses to be converted to any commercial use then I think this is unfair to all other residents.

I would imagine that owners on GVB bought as we did in a quiet area for just that- quiet.

Previous posts have discussed parking, noise, smells and disposal of waste. Would all those desperate to get a curry fix like these problems thrust upon them with no say in the matter?

It's another example of TRNC authorities not caring at all about those who pay the wages! But
