Lets hope they get the visibility to do a full display. Certainly reminds me of home when I see them.

The best place to watch is on the sea front near harbour. The planes fly so low you can have a chat with the pilots as they pass. Plus the crowd there is fantastic

What I don't understand is ;why don't the people of Kyrenia try to benefit of this great air show.We are so lucky that Turkish Stars chose our city. It could provide good amount of cash to the area. Even belediye doesn't seem interested. They probably think,'More people means more rubbish!' ))

Keithr, Far superior to Red Arrows because they are not hampered by health and safety regulations to the extent that the RA's are! Excellent free display last night that lasted 25 minutes!

I was working in Ramsgate Kent today, and as I was driving towards Manston airfield on my way home there was this terrific noise above me, guess what it was the "Red Arrows". I managed to pull off the road and get out of my car, and was treated to my own private display (well you can dream), as they flew over Manston they could not have been more than 50` above the runway, and I bet there wasnt 10` between the planes it was incredible, they did a few manouvres and then landed at Manston, I have still got goose bumps from watching them, and of course never had my bloody camera. Having never seen the Turkish equivelent I cannot comment, but I am sure any other display team would be very hard pushed to match our Red Arrows.

RE msg 17, chelpet: (...) Having never seen the Turkish equivelent I cannot comment, but I am sure any other display team would be very hard pushed to match our Red Arrows. (...) => That may be true. But the "Turkish Stars" give us a great yearly show and the "Red Arrows" don't. Some difference for people living in the TRNC, ain't it?

Have to disagree with Keithr, having watched both the Red Arrows, the Italian display team and the Turkish Stars, I think the latter are the best. I used to live very close to RAF Scampton and watched the Red Arrows practice on most days. It certainly wasn't a 'crap' show yesterday! 20 minutes of fantastic manouveres and a thrill to watch. Well done Turkish Stars for such a display.
