No it is not open yet. Will have a casino when open. Their admitted target base is Turks, Russians and those from Middle East. This is going to be exclusive with best suite around £2,000 per night!!!!! Go and take a look at the doors though!!!!!!!!!

I ate at the Sarayburnu Restaurant yesterday and the food is excellent! Mezes are very different from what you can find in other turkish restaurants. It's a little expensive. They have a variety of good wines. We ate chocolate as desert prepared by the french chef. It was different and good. I would probably go there again next month

We've had a guided tour as far as the Pasha suites and the rooftop swimming pool, the place is fantastic. There are designer shops on ground floor too. All the ceilings have gold leaf inlaid in them. Ahmet must have had a cracking job in the police force as this place cost 53 million euros! (Allegedly).

Izzet, I presume you ate at the Sarayburnu restaurant? They are advertising a set menu at 45TL a head. Is there a separate menu as well as this? Thanks

Frontal: "Ahmet must have had a cracking job in the police force as this place cost 53 million euros!" You'd have internal affairs round in no time in Blighty. Maybe he did a lot of overtime...

4 of us ate at the Sarayburnu restaurant last night and have to say we thought the food very average. The 45TL 'set' menu is in the form of buffet food, with a separate al a carte menu, which we didn't peruse too much because of the prices, but there were some unusual selections on there. The wine list is ridiculously expensive with 90TL for a Kavaklidere about the cheapest they had! Considering the restaurant wasn't full the service was hit and miss; by the time it came to choosing our sweet, they had cleared the buffet, so we asked for a selection to be bought to the table. We had a plate with 3 pieces of 2 types of baklava put in front of us. There were two problems with this. Surely someone would have noted that there was actually 4 of us at the table!! and the buffet selection was much bigger so we asked them to take it away and give us a 'proper' selection. Wouldn't go back. Hotel is very smart, mind you, and it feels a world away from the centre of Girne.
