From Girne take the dual carraigeway to Lefkosa, straight over the roundabout at the end, keep going straight on past hospital on left, straight on over small roundabout, straight on at first set of lights, next set of lights with Jeep/Chrysler dealer on left, turn left there. 100 mts take the first right, it is the first office on you right. Go upstairs and the counter is in front of you.

The lady in the office at the back on the left is the person to see first.

P.S.

If you have a problem whilst there call Mr Metin 0542 851 0345.

He will send his son to the office and he will sort it (probably for a small fee).

Take all your documents and passport.

They close at 1 p.m.

NOW THIS IS THE BEST BIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I imported my old car 6 years ago and paid the import duties, yesterday when I went to get the export documents stamped they said I must go back to Famagusta to get a couple of papers I did not have. I told them I had everything.

Then they said..................... To get your duty back you need those papers, they were actually willing to pay me my duty back !!!!!

I didn't know they could be so nice.

I refused their offer just to get the paperwork stamped there and then.

That has to be a first, you must have been gobsmacked!!!! Did it take long to sort out the paperwork to get the export documents, do they provide the export documents or do I need to get those from somewhere else?
