Anyone found that Hotbird channels are not working on Dopi? Have not been able to get any for the past couple of days and wondered if anyone else has the same problem.

Contacted Dopi, technician has just been and supposedly fixed the problem, which was actually caused by bad workmanship when the system was fitted less than a year ago. Water getting into the connection on the dishes....because it was not protected properly - now it is - has been taped up like it should have been in the first place.

Charged 50 lira for their poor workmanship to be put right.....ok not a great deal but that's not the point.....after being very patient over the past God know how many months with the lack of viewing due to one issue or another, having to take the box numerous times to be reprogrammed.....this is the final straw.....so will not be renewing...and would not recommend them to anyone at this point in time.

Still wondering whether we would get the free month we were promised back end of last year.....but of course that's only on renewal, which is unlikely to happen at the moment, unless the 50 lira is refunded.

Wagon and Norman, do you both have the same system? Will the system(s) have premier league football. Where are their offices please?

Thanks in advance.

I have that link - Norman posted it...I was trying to find out what system Wagon had - it is not clear whether it is the same one or a different one. I believe Newscoop also wanted to know which system Wagon had.

Mrs Gee....

Basically you have two paths you can follow...

1. Official Route

This is the option we would use in the UK and pay a full subscription.

Main benifits, its legal, and you now its guaranteed to work.

Main Disadv. Offers the fewest channels availb at the most exp price.

2. Card sharing

This is method of allowing you to access a subscription TV through your internet.

Main Adv.

Where as on an official subscription you are limited to how many channels you have, card sharing opens up all most of the channels availb on a satellite. Increases your choice of English channels, will offer FOOTBALL across the globe, incl premiership games and even with 15times more channels still CHEAPER then the official route. You will receive all the channels from the official package, as well as loads more you wont on that option.

Main Disadv.

Freezing..solution ensure you go with someone who has local servers rather then relies on codes or card shares himself before offering it too clients. There are now companies that offer card sharing with a guarantee that main pacages WILL NOT freeze. Even now of one that allows you to watch paid for channels even when your internet is down.

Norman, re msg 7,

Whih package did you choose?

The £220 Free-to-Air one?

Or the £329 one with £217 annual subscription that gets you Barclays Premier league?

Or ....?

What programmes do you actually get?
