Hello,

I'm an American on holiday. I recentl left Turkey and entered Cyprus in Kyrenia via Ferry. When I went through border control, I had them stamp a separate piece of paper.

I've crossed through to the southern side of Cyprus with no issues. They didn't even look at my passport on the EU side. So I didnt receive an entry stamp or anything.

Will I have issues flying out of Larnaca airport since I dont have a stamp in my passport?

Thanks for your help and advice everyone.

What kind of 'American citizen' are you if you cant demand your rights even if 'one' tries to make life hard for you?

Generally there are no border controls for people exiting the EU.

How did you enter Turkey? Direct from the US? or via an EU country.

Don't sweat it, the GCs are not in the business of pissing off US citizens (just Brits).

many GCs with dual GC/US citizenship use IST/ECN for visits home, so you will probably go unotticed.

don't think they could care less. Don't have the slip of paper in your passport at Larnaca though. YOU WILL GET A TOUGH TIME THEN. I got frowned at for having a few lira notes in my pocket when I went thru customs once. (Forgot to put them away ;-)
