In order to get married here, you would need a few paperwork from the UK, would advice to find these out beforehand. Also bare in mind the weather conditions for the time when you are getting married. If you are only planing to do the reception in Acapulco, it's a very nice place, especially when the sun is going down the views are amazing! Hope this helps.

Hey Bec!! Am soo excited it's ridiculous and I'm not even getting married -although I did suggest to Andy the idea of a double wedding...!! ;) Not sure he was overly enamoured with the idea!!! Surprise surprise! Just thought I'd get this back to the top for you...! Any one else have any other ideas for a beach wedding here? Spanna.

Rebecca Msg 1 - Pleased to hear you have chosen North Cyprus for the happy day. If we can help get you and the party there etc; we at IAH will do our best for you. You might find some other locations a little more flexible or romantic so I suggest that you spend time chatting to some experts. Talk with Teresa at Kibris Gelini (the bridal shop) She has lots of knowledge, experience and contacts. 00 9 0533 866 1966 kibrisgelini@hotmail.com

If there is anyone else with suggestions for an alternative location - we'd be interested to hear it - def wants a beach wedding though... Any others had experience of organising a wedding here... e.g. legalities etc. Thanks

There are a few big hotels that you might want to speak with if you want an alternative to Acapulco, maybe Jasmine court (they are very close to the sea and have got very nice green garden area), or Mercure (they have got special packages for weddings I think Elser there can help you out with organization). Usually if you have a wedding in a hotel, hotel helps hire photographers, flowers, decorations, etc. If you want to organize these things yourself, I can advise you a few florists, photographers, etc. but I think that getting whole package in a hotel would work out better and less stressful! If you want to register here, I know for sure that you will need papers proving that you are not married, from the place of your residency, think it's called 'Original Decree Absolute'. Also both of the passports, and birth certificates. I think these are all necessary documents, but would advise for you to re-check it once again.

Great for you to get married in the T.R.N.C...my daugter gets married at BEllAPAiS ABBEY in september do you know all the procedure...... $1. you must be in North Cyprus at least 6 days before the wedding, bride and groom must come thought ERCAN AIRPORT....AND BRING ALL THE DOCUMENTS. You must get a letter from a solicitor to say you are free to marry dated 3 months before the wedding you then take this to the T,R.N.C. in LONDON BEDFORD SQUARE birth certs, any other docs they require (my daughter had to take devorce papers) WITH 2 WITNESSES,and 47pounds fee. You then take these papers to Nicosia, or send , for more stamps office next to imigration, With these samped, you the take the paper work to the registar to conform the wedding.in Girni after all that ....all the best .. if you want to know any more , I will do my best..........
