Hi,

I will be flying to Larnaca from Düsseldorf for a week. I will be going specifically to Lefke for a week holidays. Since its the first time for me, I am bit confused whether I am allowed to enter the North Cyprus from the Southern Part. I have a Pakistani passport but with unlimited/permanent (unbeferistet) residence to stay in Germany; the visa stamped is of schengen type. If I am allowed to do so, then what documents should I carry with me while travelling to and back to South and North.

Finally, are there any decent and economical hotels in Lefke and sight seeing hotspots you may recommend?

Cheers

Thank you Marisa for your quick reply.

But what about moving from North to South back; at the end of my holidays I will be returning back, taking the same route to Germany from Larnace i.e. from Larnaca to Düsseldorf.

I will definitely consider your suggestion regarding the sights.

Cheers

Re: Msg 3,

Auch kein Problem, shiraz.

As you have stated that you have a permanent residency in an EU country, you'll be able to travel freely in both directions.

Gute Reise !

Sorry but permanent residency does not get you into ROC.

My wife used to have this before getting UK citizenship. She needed a visa from an ROC consulate for each entry to ROC. In this case Manchester, which needed a personal visit with a lot of financial detail to show that you would return to the country in which you had permanent residency. Real 3rd degree stuff from the GC at the consulate and we never mentioned TRNC as we were vositing friends in Pathos.

Only with a valid EEC passport could you travel in and out of TRNC.

Fly to Turkey first and then to Ercan.

Re : Msg 5,

breezyboy, you will find that now it has been changed, and now one does not need visa to visit ROC if one has permanent residency in one of the EU countries or a valid Schengen visa with the entry stamp in one of the Schengen countries.
