Is it possible to buy a free standing water machine that only has a cold water tap? If not both hot and cold will do. Where is the best place to go for one? Too hot to be going round various outlets checking them out. Thanks.

Try the UCUZCU shop - It's off the road down to the new Harbour, take the left turn onto the rough road just past Emertas (bathroom shop) in front of you will be 2 blocks of flats, its underneath the block on the right. You are unlikely to get one that doesn't include a water heater - but you can normally switch the heater off, so that the 'hot' tap simple delivers water at room temperature. If you're not even bothered about the 'cold' water actually being CHILLED, then there are some manual 'pump' attachments that fit the top of a 10 Ltr bottle, so that you can easily dispense room temperature water at minimal cost...

Hi crofter, Yes, UCUZCU shop. Last time we were in there, they had 3 different water dispensers. All had hot/cold options. We only use cold option in the hot weather. Great wee shop, lots of other bits & pieces on offer there too. Navek

Oh dear, two typo's - The end of para 3 should read " so that the 'hot' tap simply delivers water at room temperature. " And of course, I meant a 19 Ltr bottle - not 10 Ltr!
