This is a public aplology , to anybody that was offended or insulted by my referral to the British High Commission , i typed English by mistake in one of the Topics posted this week . One of our banned members e-mailed me informing me of my error , and with a request kindly suggesting i go for further education .

I think that there are posts on here that are much more 'offensive' than a simple 'typo'.

Perhaps it's time for an amnesty for everyone - those who made 'faux pas' and indiscreet banned members!

It's an easy mistake, a bit like writing "English Parliament" when there is no such thing. There is a Welsh and Scottish Parliament and a Northern Ireland Assembly but not an English Parliament.

Good grief if I had to apologise every time I did a typo I'd never be off here! In my hands it's more of a "tripe writer" than a type writer!

newlad/gooligan:

I remember going to two pubs in Hull when I was working in the fish house down Hessle Rd - my favourite was Rayners!

I did go to the Earl de Grey a coupla three times - more pussy in rayners, though.

Good pubs - both - so rough, they didn't chuck you out - they chucked you IN!!!

gooligan: you wanna talk Goole - I worked there, too - I'm ya man!

So - back on thread: 'Apology to whom i may have offended' - probably just mentioning 'ull & 'Sleepy Hollow'!

As the saying goes: 'If Hull is the a***hole of England - Goole is 30 miles up it!'

One thing for sure - in all my travels - Hull has the most cracker-looking girlies from anywhere - that's a fact!!!
