| Hi all I have been asked by a guy to find out if Propane gas is available in the TRNC. He has said that he is purchasing a BBQ which requires Propane gas and we believe that Butane is the gas you get in the blue and green bottles. Does anyone know if 1 of these is Propane and if not, does anyone know where to get Propane and how much it might be. All help greatly appreciated.. SuperTed |

| The gas available in TRNC is LPG - it could be a mixture of propane + butane. Butane is not normally advised for indoor use. Propane has a slightly higher calorific value, which means it burns hotter. People buy their barbeques from South and North and simply run them on the gas available - the regulator and pillar valve on the gas cylinder is the same type and specification North or South, too. |
