An alternative to renting an apartment - contact details needed

I have just put up a thread requesting a rental apartment. Alternatiavely, I would be grateful if anyone could give me the details of a place we looked at which had rooms to rent in Kyrenia. It is a large building (looks like a hotel), just down from the Pia Bella and at the end of the road Sammys Hotel is in, on the main road. It is a hostel mainly for teachers but they also rent to tourists and has a large swimming pool. I have lost their details and would be grateful if anyone could give me their name and if possible their contact details.

Hi Jane ... You are referring to the Ogretmenevi (which literally means "Teacher's House"). Their web site is http://www.girneogretmenevi.com For a single room and breakfast you'd be paying 65TL a night, but you can apparently get it cheaper if stay there long term and/or off season.



Click on "Fiyatlar" for the full price list of rooms etc available and click on "Iletisim" for their phone and fax numbers.



And yes, according to pictures on their web site, the swimming pool there is very large.

I have to agree with crumpy and the pool is great, the rooms are reasonably good and some have limited self catering facilities as well

Its more expensive than a hotel at 110tl for a double room per night. The LA in lapta are only charging about 80tl per room and they have a lovely beach.

Have to agree with tarry67 LA hotel looks better value and the PIA bella hotel !! although it is up to the individual at the end of the day !!

I stayed at The Fez in Catalkoy before I got my apartment and it was only £15 a night and eat whatever from their bar menu - very reasonable. Rooms lovely patio doors to the garden with pool. The dolmus passes on the main road. They have a website just google the Fez.
