Maureen will be selling the tastiest of vegetables at the Carpenters Friday Market from 10am to 1pm. Cherry tomatoes, courgettes, coloured peppers, aubergines, as well as marmalades, farm eggs, chutneys.

Other stall holders sell smart/casual clothes and beach wear, original artwork, DVD's, CD's, books, plants, home made pies, hand made cards, jewellery and there is information on the turtle nesting and hatchlings.

It is a small, friendly market and everyone is made welcome. If you have something to sell, then let me know! There is no charge to stall holders.

The market continues throughout the summer in the cool of the beautiful garden so why not meet up with your friends and have a drink, cake or snack.

Its at Carpenters Restaurant between 10 am and 1pm.

It is almost opposite Bells Foods in the Edremit area and you will see signs for the Castle pub, follow that sign then just drive another 100 metres pass the Castle and you will find Carpenters

Tickets for the Turtle Fun Day on 24th August at Lapethos Aqua Park will be on sale for only 10TL. In addition, all sorts of turtle related goods will be on sale at the turtle stall with prices from only 2TL.

I can personally recommend Maureen's fruity farmhouse and seriously spicy chutneys - great on ham and cheese.

Hope to see you there

This morning, the turtle stall will have a small selection of adult and children's books for sale at 3TL each - all in very good condition.

For book lovers, there are a few other stalls with a great selection of books.
