Why would I have started getting bubbles coming up from the floor jets when the balance tank is full?

tootie.

it could be possible your pump is letting in air somewhere or 1 of the pipes in your pump room is letting in air.

sounds like its deffo sucking in air from some where.

I thought that but its still overflowing and seems to be working as normal, except for the bubbles.

The only thing I can think is its started doing it since the last back wash yesterday morning.

Could it just be an air lock releasing slowly? Pump room is also dry?

m8 your return valve is stuck may be a little rubbish or something is blocking the water from the pool to the balance tank. you need to close all the valves and unscrew the pipe just above the entry to the balance tank. once removed just clean the inside. is like a cone with a spring, so push the cone down and you will clear the pipe section. re-install and open your valves.

BLEEDER!

- I mean the 'bleed valve' on top of the big filter tank - while the pump is running, just unscrew it half a turn or so, until you can hear air rushing out of it - eventually, the air will stop, and a small jet of water will start to come out. At this point, you can screw the bleed valve back down - make sure that the water has stopped!

Check that no bubbles are coming out of the jets.

If you get water straight away when you open the bleed valve, then that's not the problem.

It's a bit like bleeding a radiator...
