Football clubs are only businesses therefore they should not have these tax advantages over other businesses and individuals who have to pay their taxes in the UK. Yes its good news for the fans and others associated with Pompey FC especially their ordinary workers. The laws will be changed to make the situation fair so that football clubs wil have to pay their dues rather than operate outside the normal fiscal rules. I hear also that many top paid players have image rights that are paid offshore to avoid tax. Is this fair on the supporters who dig deep in their pockets to pay for football froorm their taxed income. How many supporters have been fined for sending in their tax form late or miscalulating their tax?? So how much will the legal costs be for HMRC and how much more tax will we all need to pay to finance this. I gacv up putting any money into football years ago and will not do so again. Anyway what does this have to do with North Cyprus do local clubs have tax advantages???
