Thought i had found a long term tenant for my friends house. Really liked the house agreed the rent and deposit urgently wanted to move in. I got the contract ready and everything set up and then they didnt turn up!! Many phone calls later and i am still in the dark as to why. I do get puzzled as to why they do this its not the first time its happened. Back to the drawing board.

Deniz1, this happened to me several times when I was selling my house. People viewed, "fell in love with it", made an offer and arranged to sort our lawyers etc. Then vanished. Always TCs, so in the end I put it down to "telling you what we think you want to hear". We found one couple had flown back to UK immediately after the offer was made!

I know but all it takes is one call to say sorry changed my mind. He approached me and was in a big hurry to move in. Perhaps its just as well.

On the other hand they may have done your friend a big favour if they are the all too common tenants from hell.
