Try vanish just wet the area and rub in worth a try but do a larger area so as to blend in.

im told bi carb works, sprinkle it onto stain let it soak the stain up and remove. hope it works, if not throw red wine over the rest of the rug.

I was also going to say white wine, i did this to my carpet when red wine got spilt and it came out straight away

Try soda water - works well if the wine has just been spilled; not sure how well it will work after the stain has dried.



Still - cheaper than using the white wine, certainly

Wet the stain and then put salt on it, this really does work
