| Try vanish just wet the area and rub in worth a try but do a larger area so as to blend in. |

| im told bi carb works, sprinkle it onto stain let it soak the stain up and remove. hope it works, if not throw red wine over the rest of the rug. |

| I was also going to say white wine, i did this to my carpet when red wine got spilt and it came out straight away |

| Try soda water - works well if the wine has just been spilled; not sure how well it will work after the stain has dried. Still - cheaper than using the white wine, certainly |

| Wet the stain and then put salt on it, this really does work |
