House sign... ideas please... thanks!

Does anyone have any ideas for a 'house name' sign to go outside the front door. I have the name but want to get something attractive made so I wanted some ideas. Maybe in iron or stone or wood?



I'm sure loads of you have had them done on your own houses so if you have ideas and contacts of people to make them that would be great??

Hi St george Try Mehmet bey on 0542 8740259 He has a metalwork factory or Ferforje as they call in in North Cyprus (catalkoy). lovely guy will do what ever you like have used him several times for different things , he works well to pictures aswell Goodluck

If you want one to your design, made in 3D on a good roof tile, painted and laquered then give me a ring on 0533 832 8840. My tiles are good quality and well made and finished and you can hang them by your gate or door.

I got an iron one made at the Curtain shop on left hand side as you approach Girne from the west - just before HSBC

Cant recall name but cost about £25 inc installation

There is a lady called Ayse at Pembegul boot fair/market on sunday's who paints stunning roof tiles and ceramic tiles. She has just done one made up of 4 tiles with palm trees & a sun set & the palms written on it for a house. I must say it was beautiful she mostly does flowers but I am sure it would be worth asking her as she does artwork to order. 100% worth a look.

There is a ceramic shop opposite the Ship Inn. He made me 2 plaques, they are hand painted with drilled holes to screw to the wall. I think they cost me £35.00 each
