Temps this morning are much better with much fresher air having dropped to 83 degrees. Let us hpe that the 'blip' of humid weather has finished.

Have to say i can't get out of early mornings i think its all those years at work. I'm hoping the temp has dropped a bit by the time we arrive in 3 weeks time. I think about how you must be suffering at night the moment.

I haven't been able to sleep for the last 3 nights. I toss and turn and my brain doesn't seem to be able to turn off. I'm exhausted! Normally I sleep as soon as my head touches the pillow! 'It must be the weather.'

Message 10 - Duh - no - doubt it. Is it a new-fangled contraption, this "air con"? How does it work? Thank you. PS You ever got an electric bill for continuously running your air-con?

i put the air.con on for half an hour in the bedroom before I go to bed, then take 1/2 a mild sleeping pill, read for 10 minutes, turn off the air.con and I'm out straight away. I do that every summer here. Once the summer and hot weather stops, then I stop taking the sleeping pills.

I am renting and no luxury of air con so have been using a couple of fans to keep cool but have to say that about 4 this morning woke with a chill and turned the fans off, very unusual, perhaps the likes of myself and Mr Spider are becoming more acclimatised to the heat here or god forbid I am coming down with something. Know how you feel though Spider as few years ago when living with someone they would often turn off air con in middle of night due to cold and I would wake up too hot and a little angry!!!!!
