I've never had a bad meal at Erol''s and have always found the evening a pleasurable experience. The meat is consistently of a high quality and well prepared which is more than can be said of a lot of places. All mezes are prepared by Caroline and she often puts on a 'special'. Customers are always served complimentry cacik, humus, halloumi pittas and crudities and, at the end of the meal, fresh fruit, coffee and brandy. It is one of the few places where you can guarantee the food will always be good. Caroline and Erol work very hard to ensure this high standard is maintained. Restaurants come and go in Cyprus, one year a restaurant may be successful and another year a disaster. There are a great many restaurants to choose from and many of the them are sadly empty. This is not true of Erol's. This speaks for itself. Whatever time of year there is always a healthy number of customers. Fortunately I don't think we will see the demise of Erol's for a while yet!

Hi

Sounds great !! Could you let me know exactly where Erol's is please? We'll be staying in the Alsancak area. Is it anywhere reasonably near there?

Thanks - Dena.

It's no where near Alsancak realy, it is in Ozanköy. (Look on Google earth to find the exact location if you want)

Dena1 ..

From Alsancak into Girne & straight on at all the roundabouts to the traffic lights ..

Turn right towards Bellapais ..

Pass the new Starling supermarket & Altinkaya Holiday Resort and straight on at the roundabout ..

Keep straight on this road all the way to Ozankoy (a landmark is the Dream Castle on your right).

At the T junction the The Old Mill on your left. keep right and then bear left past the Mosque.

Zig zag round the Ozankoy bookshop ..

Pass Five Fingers Restaurant on your right. Bear right and follow road round up the steep hill ..

Straight on at the top, Erolls car park is just past the house on your right !

What are the prices of food and drink like there?

We went to Hasan's Rose Garden a couple of weeks ago, the setting was beautiful, the food good but I wouldn't say it warranted the 35TL per head, plus drinks made it an expensive night out.
