Just to update everybody about my friend who was taken by 112 ambulance to Lefkosa

He is now back in england he arrived last night to Gatwick airport.

My friend paid for private ambulance to take him to Larnaca airport because main hospital drivers could not go through checkpoint it was late picking him up and when they did evenually get there were told they were to late to come back today, my friend said no, after a lot of talking they allowed him on 20 minute before they took off. Arrived at Gatwick to be met by a Monarch manager who was not a bit helpful it took them nearly 2 hours to get him off plane and in to another vechicle that they had to pay for they evenually got to hospital at about 8.30 after leaving Lefkosa at 11 o/c in the morning .but hopefully now he is back in england they will be able to treat him and get him back on his feet so he can return to his home here in cyprus.

Again thank you for all your support.

From his family

Lets hope he makes a speedy recovery. I am sure he must be very tired but happy to be back home.

Hector, that's a very impertinent question... I hate to tell you.

If he paid his National Insurance stamp all his working life what does it matter to you?

Why is it an impertinent question? Because you don't like it?

No, because it's got nothing to do with me, you or the poster of the thread...

I'm sure Iris would not wish to discuss someone else's financial dealings in this public forum.

Grouch, it was a question that Iris1 did not need to answer. Just as Hector does not have to answer your enquiry about why he asked. For all you know Hector may be asking because he fears he will someday be in the same situation and is wondering what might happen if he had to return to the UK for medical treatment. Or he might just be nosy

Pamela Msg 1 & 8 -I am sure other members echo Lilli's thoughts (I do).

Can I ask for all residents if he had insurance or not as the cost of the ambulances and flights must have been horendous.

Would not even think of asking anybody what there financial status was, but for your information he paid for all treatment he received here in cyprus,

If you wish to know I will ask his wife for you

.

Thank you to all those who were interested in my friends health so far he is not doing to well in england.
