She really knows her stuff and keeps up to date with courses when she goes back to the UK. She is the best and I have tried a lot of hairdressers since we moved here.

I would also recommend Naj at the cutting room. I pay 50TL every month for trim & wash & blow dry. I am always getting comments on my hair, when it has just been cut.

Go down towards the New Harbour, turn left as if you were going to the amphitheatre and Naj and the Cutting room will be found just past the brightly coloured nursery school. The salon is on a corner on the LHS in a block of flats.

I got a very good cut from a barber in the centre of Lapta village a week or 2 back, don't know if he does ladies hair. He didn't speak much English but we managed to understand each other enough. Spent 3/4 hour cutting my hair, shaving the back of my neck with a cut throat razor, wash and dry and even cleaned my ears out after the shampoo. Probably best cut I've ever had. 15tl

Ali who used to be at Thalgo has set up his own shop at Alsancak in the parade of shops where Turk Bank and Dano Bakery are. If you live this side of Girne, he is well worth a visit as he is excellent at cutting (and quick!).
