Hi Daniel, It depends where you are staying whilst in the TRNC, if you are staying west of Kyrenia then St Tropez restaurant is lovely and food excellent. If east of Kyrenia, the golf club is perfect for a special occasion. The butlers wife

We went to Buffavento (Five Finger Mountain) restaurant for my husband's 50th. Traditional food including a fantastic meze and wonderful views. Let them know it is a special occasion and they will make your evening special.

Kybele Restaurant, Bellapais. Sheer beauty and romance of setting. Food good, professional waiters. Dont forget to have a look at the bread oven. 0392 815731. Kath

Agree with kathsi but also add Number 14, Midsummer House and Patina to that. Efendi is also lovely, but for a romantic setting and personal service and attention, these three are unbeatable. Yes the golf club is lovely but for a smaller, more intimate romantic setting for a wedding anniversary the above three would win my vote. Midsummer House is in Catalkoy, tel; Erdin, 05338762828. Tell him it is a special occasion and he will respond. Number 14 in the Turkish quarter in Girne, tel;05428592072. Patina is in Karakum/Ozankoy, tel; 03928245400.

Yes, I second the Kybele, and they used to pick up and drop off. Mind you, how far is another thing!

Hi Dan There have been some excellent suggestions for your anniversary dinner and with the exception of Patina which in my experience always flatters to deceive any one of those restaurants mentioned would be very nice. For a really special event I would choose Kybele. The food is very good, but not as good as some of the other restaurants mentioned, but the setting especially at night with the Abbey and the gardens all beautifully illuminated it is quite simply breathtaking. I suggest you contact them as early as possible explain your anniversary and request the table (I think it's no.1) that sits proud overlooking the ravine it's a magnificent view. Oh and whatever you do don't forget your camera!! regards Doug

If you don't want to travel to far, the Joya at Kucuk Erenkoy is very nice.

I have to agree with msg 14 Patina would be my choice for a special occasion. Lovely setting, great service, little bit more expensive than some, but worth every penny.
