| I have been using a telsim dongle for nearly a year with no problems.....until now! I had cause to reinstall xp pro and that all went fine but now when i plug the dongle in windows 'finds' it but the software prog won't install. Any ideas please? |

| hi mark, no it will only 'part' load.........get new hardware found message but it won't load the connection icon. |

| When you get the 'new hardware found' message, does it then ask you to download the usb driver. The originals appear to have been lost in your reinstall, so you need to go through that process again. |

| hi greenman.......yes i know but it doesn't do anything ..............i have installed and unistalled many times before but now it won't , but i reckon you're right no drivers no install !! Thanks for the info and the link. |

| Have you looked in Device Manager? Look in USB and you may find a ? against an entry. You can update the driver there if auto id not working. |

| As a rule of thumb software first unless the manufacturer says so. then USB hardware, if it hasn't got it it will usually say so. Then insert your "thing". |

| hmmmm very weird................dongle works fine in my laptop ( otherwise i wouldn't be posting this !! lol) so i think it's a software issue of some sort cos it won't load the interface onto my pc. think i'll go to telsim shop and see if they can help. Anyway thankyou everyone for your assistance |
