It has come to our attention , that there are some members with up to 6 identities attached the same account and e-mail addresses . I have sent these members e-mails over a week ago and have had no response , i am assuming that their e-mail address is not valid and so will have to invalidate their membership unless i hear from them in the next couple of days

Sorry if i upset you Zeroclear . Yes i knew about the address , one of the persons that must have been using the same address was foul mouthed and extremely rude , i'm sure you must be glad it was cleared up and not to be associated with him even if it was by an ip address . Now it could be he has re-joined under another name , if he has , then the quality of his postings have improved hasn't brought attention to himself . It wasn't personal Zeroclear .

Hi dizzycows , " line them all up and shoot them " A bit too strong don't you think :¬ ) The thread was started as some members are not using their e-mail address given when they became members for one reason or another , so they were not recieving the e-mails sent to them , but they were still posting . So starting the thread was a way of informing them and giving them the chance to contact and address the issue , sometimes the reasons are totally innocent and sometimes not . It is not just for the few as you put it , and we don't go looking for them , they bring themselves to attention through their posts , it is when we moniter the posts that we check . Anyway why would somebody want to use a number of different names ? they actually have conversations with themselves , and sometimes even attacking one another in the same thread and cause trouble on others .

I too havent seen any threads that are 'out of hand' re these double posters, treble identities? but then Im not looking for double, treble, quadriple posters, lol.



Just wonder why things are taken to the extreme on here, ... it is like a do as you are told or else, members too asking for other members to be banned, all a bit extreme...

If you want new email addresses and members update Izzet has these, or he should have, as think if you look he has replyed to most people re his donation site!

Plus if you are sending out emails to these 'secret ' members, if the email is from a non existant ..... a blank outcome ....

Msg 31 . Exactly why would one , i agree it is OTT , but that is what some do useing several aka's , no problem at all with husband and wives , each have their own profile and we know who they are . We do have access to members e-mail addresses that is why we know whether or not e-mail addresses are valid or not . Do you not think having 6 aka's are a bit extreme , ask yourself why would someone want so many ? , also a member is never banned just because another member asks for it , unless it is called for , but it wouldn't be just on a members request . Please don't think we go trawling the boards looking for double identies or trouble , it's only when a problem arises we have to deal with them , but it won't always be to everybodies satisfaction .

I agree with Simbas on this one why would anyone want any more than one identity other than to be a nuisance!



These people never have an e-mail address on their profiles, so with the result they can verbally abuse without anyone knowing their true identity. I recently was bombarded with e-mails (nasty) from one of these people, which incidentally I ignored. But they have been on this BB under at least 5 names I can think of after they were banned. And are currently back under yet another name.

We don't have more than one identity but our e.mail address on the forum is incorrect. We changed it about nine months ago from Extend to Nethouse when we were having trouble logging on to the forum. We have asked Izzet several times to change it but this has not been done. We also asked you the same thing on your testing testing testing post about four hours ago. Not only has it not been changed but you have also not acknowledged the post request. If this request is beyond your capabilities, perhaps you could pass on the request to someone who does have the ability to do it.

Hi zerochlor , i will do my best , Rule 12 , does state that when you join you cannot cancel your membership , so yes i do believe that is the case in answer to your first part of the question . Secondly we have never deleted the names or id's of members who have been banned , but we do add to his or her profile page " Banned "and the reason given . As far as knowing the names , me personally , i will not be drawing any attention to any person that i ban , i will not divulge any one's name , but it is a public forum and the information will be on that person's profile page , so people will be able to see for themselves. The rules are all there for a purpose and if people think they are too restrictive they really do not have to join . I hope i've answered some of your queries , they may not be to your satisfaction , but it is the best i can do

I only ask because I thought that it would be a handy way of seeing which 'double identities' had been banned, by going to their member page as you suggested, and found that 'Pikey' doesn't appear to be banned - according to his member page: -

Click on your name in the box to the left of one of your posts - just above your 5 gold stars ( )

Now look in the address bar at the top of your browser - (the bit that starts with http://)

You will see that the line ends with '=Pipie'

Now if you just delete the 'Pipie' bit, and type in the member name that you want to view instead, & press 'Enter' - Voila!

Only problem is, it doesn't seem to show you that they're banned, but Simbas is going to ask 'why' for us...

Now look in the address bar at the top of your browser - (the bit that starts with http://)

You will see that the line ends with '=Pipie'

Now if you just delete the 'Pipie' bit, and type in the member name that you want to view instead, & press 'Enter' - Voila!

Only problem is, it doesn't seem to show you that they're banned, but Simbas is going to ask 'why' for us...
