Hi Sparks, Thanks for your reply. Are you in a position to elaborate on the points you have raised? We have been advised they are a good builder and have won awards for completing on time and standard of workmanship etc. We found 1 negative response in an article published by the Turkish times. Kofali have since settled this dispute with the clients in question. (I telephoned the clients direct and they advised all matters had been settled). I'd be grateful for any info. you and any others may have re this builder. Thanks.

Hi All, I posted this topic some time ago when we were just embarking on the construction of our villa. Our villa is almost complete, just a few snagging issues which is to be expected. I previously asked if anyone had heard anything of our builder, although I didn't receive much feedback. I have posted a couple of other topics asking for clarification on any concerns I had (but have found my concerns unjust). I am taking this opportunity to let everyone know we have been more than happy with them (I think it is important to praise good builders as so many of them get a bad report). To date, our builder, Kofali Construction Ltd has been fantastic. They have been on time (mainly ahead of time with their progress). They have also made improvements on plans etc when they have been going along. (Above and beyond what would normally be expected). We have found Ali Kofali (the director we dealt with) to be a personable guy who very much has his finger on the pulse with all his projects. Our Project Manager is Ekrem Coksu. He has been brilliant. He pays the same attention to detail as if the villa he was constructing was his own. We have also made several changes to our original villa plans during the build all of which have been accomodated without being charged over the odds with extras. If anyone is thinking of building in Northern Cyprus I recommend you consider these builders and view some of their villas before committing to any others. Avril & David

In a nutshell, to my knowledge they hand over their properties on time, on budget, with full electric (non of this builders electric nonsense) and mains water. I know people who have bought on three of their sites and frankly I wish I had.

I was just saying to a friend yesterday that nobody seems to mention Kofali on these boards. I have no direct experience of them but I can see the progress of their builds and I am amazed at how quickly they are getting things done. It would seem to point to a company that does not rely solely on stage payments to build their properties which is a definite positive.

I have bought and sold a Kofali house. He does complete on time you get everything that is in your contract. Make sure if there is anything extra you want put it in the contract he does adee to the contract. The only thing i would recommend is that you keep more than the £3000 in the contract back until you are sure that not only your house but your pool is complete and no problems. Unfortunately the pools sometime to cause a problem which he will fix over time but if you are keeping money back from him he will do the job straight away. I know a lot of Kofali buyers and have recommended to them all they are all happy buyres and he is one of the better builders. So buy with confidence but like i say just keep a little more back until you see that your pool is working ok.
