Andrew, if you do not want an expensive metal or fibreglass one, there is a tailor's shop on the industrial estate on the right hand side of the coastal road just after Karaoglanoglo village travelling from Lapta. He measured my spare wheel and within 24 hours produced a thick rubberised material cover with ribbed seams which I was well pleased with and very cheap. I am a bit vague on exactly where the workshop is but there are two or three turnings off the coastal road all leading to the estate. Each of these, after approx 100 metres, are crossed and joined by another road and the tailor's workshop is somewhere on that road. It has a large "tailors" sign. (I chose a black colour but he offered others).

All owners with cars that have a spare wheel mounted in the open... a cover's a must have. The sun will render your spare wheel totally useless if you leave it open to the full sun. Your car wheels move regularly and have wheel arches to protect them, the spare is always in the same position and without cover will son become quite brittle.

I reckon a good cover could be fashioned from the material used to make sun-lounger cushions. Very fetching in your choice of colour too...

Try Hay-Hay next to the K-Pet garage Karakum.
