| Turkish Airlines has taken the headline-grabbing step of banning 28 of its staff from flying until they lose shed a few pounds. the group, of which 15 are men, have reportedly been prohibited from turning up to work – and have been placed on unpaid leave – until they lose weight. The airline has apparently told its crew: “Weight and height are important factors at all airlines. These criteria are important both in terms of appearance and the ability to move about.” The suspended staff have all previously received warnings about their size. One of the stewards, Izzet Levi, has told the Haber Turk newspaper that he has been ordered to lose 22 pounds before he can return to active service. | Its hard to make such a decision,, but once made, I bet it was a weight off the airlines shoulders.... The staff need to realise its no weigh to live.... |

| Don't know if it is still the same but I used to be fearful of Delta hostesses dropping dead they were so old! |
