Does anyone know if i can change up british coins in istanbul anywhere. Maybe the banks or aiport?

Dear Joanne,



Exchange bureaus here in Istanbul, at the airport or wherever, do not accept foreign coins, only notes. My guess is that banks are the same :-(



Whenever I travel I always try to use all my coins up in the airport before flying.

Crumpy is right - if you want to get a good friend when in a hotel (worldwide) ask the concierge if he or she wants to change their GBP coin tips to paper notes and they will look after you very well till the day you leave.

I have been known to come away with as much as £20/£30 and was treated like a king no matter how stupid my request and always with a smile.

If you feel more generous put your change into a charity box.
