| That is a baby - the caption puts it at 38kg. The record Amberjack twice as big at over 80kg. It is very good to eat and you will find it here in restaurants under the local name "Mineri". |

| Just out of interest how do you get round the problem of the 200tl for the fishing licence?
I was looking at going fishing but £90, plus the boat hire is too steep for me.

| You cant get round the 200tl for a shore fishing licence, neither can you get round the 150tl boat fishing licence or the 150tl licence that the boat also needs to be used for fishing.
There are more fish here than people give the place credit for. you just have to know when the certain species are in, where they like to go, what time they like to feed, and what they eat.
september october is garfish season. and mineri, not to mention benito that you will need a boat for, but the other 2 can be caught from the shore using live minows as bait,
