My wife came home with an unwanted gift on the plane home on saturday, Salmonella poisoning!!, we came back on the new atlas flight from eircan, she put it down to the flight meal, me and the kids were ok, was just wondering if anyone else had this on monday this week (it takes 48-72 hrs to come out apparently).

it may not be the flight meal, it could have been something she ate the Friday night!!

she has been really ill, however i have to work in London, leaving her up north with three kids!!, i am sleeping with a clear concience!!!

you would have all got it if you had the same meals. Maybe to differing degrees of seriousness. I don't eat airline meals from Ercan. Always seem to get two slabs of dry bread with half a cucumber and a bit of cheese. Disgusting. Better flying to and from Larnaca even though they are miserable gits.

Lapta Mike; so you're all for trying to help the TRNC economy, then?

hal9000, if I fly from Larnaca I can take 3200 duty paid ciggs back to the UK. From Ercan I can only take 200 duty free. You use the maths!! Stop picking on me.

LaptaMike - Ah, yes - but the cigarettes you can take from Ercan are a fraction of the price you can take from Larnaca.

Plus, if you wanted to take a chance, you could risk it and take back lots from TRNC.

Only viable, of course, if you were a gambling man

Regards.

not worth the risk Jean. I do gamble occasionly in casinos and always tend to come out a winner. Before anyone asks, no your not knowing my method of beating the casinos at their own game.

LaptaMike - point taken

I wish you continued good luck in the casinos - personally, I wouldn't know where to start. My extent is to have a couple of quid each way in the Grand National

Eggs are where i got it from a few years ago here.

I was ill for about a month, just when i felt better it all started again.

It took me about 6 months to even look at an egg after that.

You have to be careful with dairy produce aswell, not just here, even in the UK. My friends dad bought some cheese from a deli counter in UK and ended up with E.Coli which nearly killed him.
