Maureen will be offering free tastings of her cherry tomatoes at The Carpenters Friday Market, Karaoglanoglu, tomorrow. She will also have a range of garden vegetables for sale: courgettes, aubergines, coloured peppers, special salad mix and small pumpkins. All her produce is without hormones and sprays, the tastiest in Cyprus!

Other stall holders will be selling CD's, DVD's, books, smart, casual and beach wear, hand made cards, hand crafted jewellery, original art work, plants. This is a small, friendly market set in the beautiful garden of The Carpenters Restaurant where you can relax with a cool drink or treat yourself to a tea/coffee and a piece of apple cake.

Carpenters may not be the biggest market around, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in quality! Relax, have a refreshing drink and browse at your leisure. You can also get information about the turtle project and find out when the next hatch is due - a must see for all kids, big and small!

Bought some cherry tomatoes from Maureen last week. They were great as is all her homegrown produce.

Her chutneys are also delicious.

Carpenters is a great little market, come on everyone, give it your support. If you live nearby, have a stroll down and see what's on offer. You'll be pleasantly surprised. After a hard morning's work shopping for your bargains you can then rush off back to the beach or to the pool - they're not going to go away you know!

The people who run these markets and stalls work very hard to bring some activities and entertainment to the area for residents and visitors who might otherwise get bored. People would complain if there was no little bazaar to have a wander around and the only option was Lambousa's, big bustling market on a Saturday. But to keep everyone's moral going, they need customers otherwise the stallholders will lose faith and that would be such a shame.
