The FA shot themselves in the foot by offering the Italian a new contract before the world cup stipulating if they got rid of him a massive compensation package was due and if he left, similarly the club he moved to would have to pay a huge sum. The contract was offd to fent of Inter Milan who later revealed thy didnt want him!

How come it takes circumstance to show Brooking and the other useless twats who should be leading our national team ! Martin Oneal would be one of the best ! I agree that Beckham is a fantastic ambassador for our football nation but feel he wouldnt command the respect from the players needed to go forward to the level expected.
