Does anyone have any idea what it would cost per square metre to build an extension. I enquired a year or so ago and was told it was around £550. However I suspect this has now risen.

With the recession in the south many Turkish Cypriots lost their jobs there, or have been laid off for a while. So, labour costs should be much cheaper than say 2 years ago. Half that. However, cement costs etc have risen. Get at least 4 quotes. Geoff Famagusta City

Hüseyin is very happy to give you a full quotation be he needs more detail to go on. For instance it would depend on what you want. It is just the construction of an extension or is it required for a fully finished extension right down to the paintwork. How many doors and windows are required. In what material would these be aluminium or wood. Is there plumbing involved? How many electrical points? etc., etc., .........................And it would be best for him to see the site in order to get the full impression of the project. There would be no charge for this. He has excellent references. 0533 8753642.

ok thanks Parther - I will be in touch once we have settled. Basically I want to add on an entrance and kitchen incorporating a utility room and cloakroom-possibly to move a wall out upstairs too to make the bedroom bigger. So yes to plumbing and quite a few electric points. I have estimated that it will be around 35 sq metres downstairs. What is the approximate going rate ....?

I trust that you have the kocan in your name and there are no mortgages/memorandums against your property that you don't know about. Just a thought before you go and spend your hard earned money.
