Suspicious new mole, doesn't appear to be a bite. Dark maroon sort of colour. Wonder if its just a mole or a melanoma......

not paying 550tl to have it removed. I'll do it myself with a scalpel. (Bit close to an artery though) Done self surgery a few times. I know the basics of surgery

Totally agree, get it checked. Don't worry too much though, my daughter has had several cut out and, touch wood, all OK.

Mike - how the hell can you know the 'basics of surgery'?

So, if you went into a hospital for brain surgery and were told that the bloke operating on you wasn't 'quite' qualified, but knew 'the basics' you'd be happy?

I appreciate that you may be on a bit of a wind up, but it's not exactly like cutting a corn off your little toe

By the way - thank you for the update on Efes.

Right - I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt here.

1. Where was I being rude, and,

2. I have no knowledge of knowledge?

Please enlighten me?

You 'know the basics of surgery' then you should know the basics of infection, and the risk of bleeding!

500tl doesn't sound a lot to me as you can't put a price on health, so for goodness sake go and see about it.

Chris

p.s. If too mean go to Girne hospital they will do it cheaper.

Mike. You want to stop playing them games in the Pool. You're getting too much exposure to the sun. Can't you invent a game to

play indoors?

;-) No1Doyen. Jeannie why be so offensive?

DeaconB I agree. Sterilise it first, cauterise if needed or stich if needed. Plenty of anti-bacterial cream and a dressing for a couple of days. Always worked a treat for me.

spider, a lot of people do that now in UK, can't get an NHS dentist. I've had to go private because my NHS dentist struck me off his books for not going even enough (even though he knew I was in Holland)

Mike,

Its not just a case of basic hacking with the rusty razor blade then applying a dollop of germaline - you have to make sure you get the lot from around it and underneath it. The only way to be sure is to send the offending lump away and have the result sent back to you. Then you can rest east.

If you want to do it on the cheap - I have an electric planner you can borrow for the day, that will sort it out for you but may be a bit messy!!!!! I am happy to pay the plastic surgeon the 350TL as he is the proffessionl and am even "content" to pay for the results as well because if he has missed a bit he gets to do it again for free.

Anyway, cleaning up the planner and surrounding area is just too much work.

Hi laptamike, would it not be a goodidea to have it looked at and checked out, as thought that some of these warts that are cancerous have thread like roots that they too need to be got rid, Im no expert at these sort of things ,and am like you sort of treat myself with minor things, but a wart is something that does need proper care if it has changed in looks.....

Excuse me Moderators! Who is getting a grip of this Jeannie character? Who amongst you will be drawing the line on offensive and down right rude behaviour. Both attributes are in abundance on this thread! I really and truly hope that there is not one rule for one and another rule for friends. I have served my rehabilitation period and am now a reformed poster, however I cannot sit idly by watching other member be castigated venomously. Moderators you do have a duty of care to perform here!

Thanks for everyones support.

It's going now so I think it might have just been a blotch from the heat or something because it doesn't look like a bite.
