Went there for the first time last night and can highly recommend it.



10 out 10 - lovely Cypriot restaurant, food and service. Too many fast food eateries and not enough "local" establishments like this.



No import drinks but that didn't detract from the evening.

I am pleased that the place is getting some good reviews, the setting is very nice indeed.



I have only been once and all I could say was that the meal was ok, I like that fact that they have the waiters in local dress but overall I was disappointed. Topped off at the end of the evening by a Brandy Sour, which I can honestly say was the worst one I have ever tasted, and was charged 12 TL for it.



For those that will jump on me with the '... did you complain on the night...' line, no I did not. I didn't want to make a scene and it was more of a disappointment than a specific complaint. I still have the right to voice my opinion of course....



I wish the place well but for now they will not be getting my custom.

our party were also dissapointed with our visit, we did complain (nicely) and the owner was very rude! we will never go back! too many 'friendly' places to go instead x

We were also disappointed, it was one of the worst meals we have had. The actual place is lovely but the food is awful, which is a shame.

yes, sorry, we ordered of the menu, but out of 8 of us, only 2 people got the correct dishes, this was rectified, but with no apology, the chips were very few and frozen, all were dissapointed, so when the owner was doing his rounds, he asked if everything was ok, so we quietly voiced our opinions, he very rudely told us that his customers prefered frozen chips!! it didn't spoil our night out as we are fun people, but there are much nicer places and much better food on the island, so this place was crossed of our list x

Just got in from the blue door and after spending the past month visiting local restaurants we decided to go here for the full meze on our last evening.



What a huge disappointment, 35tl seemed a reasonable price and the cold meze was a great way to start off, but we had to wait just under 50 minutes for the hot meze



When I queried the long delay with the waiter, he said on a Saturday evening everyone enjoys watching and listening to the dancing and the music, that is why there was a long delay. I had a quiet word in his ear to tell him it was Monday, there were no dancers or music and to pull his finger before I drove off without paying



After 3.5 hours we fished the fruit which was very nice



The service was awful even on a quiet evening, the food especially the hot meze was poor



Has anyone sucked a bone before?



He said it was a lamb chop, the meat on it was to small to fit on our forks

Went to Charcos last night and had a great meal and we paid 71tl, tonight 110tl and came away thinking we had poor value for money.



Should have gone to the fast food cafe as the food is better quality

Despite mixed reviews visited Blue Door 16th. Limited menu & emphasis on set meals. List of cold mezes was in Turkish. I know we are visitors & should learn what the translation is, but for customers who are here for a week or two; translation does help & encouages trying of new dishes. Otherwise people just order what they know.

I'm vegetarian & wife only eats chicken. Stressed no meat/fish to waiter he suggested cold mezes to share & chicken kebab for wife.

Only 1 Meze arrived; inc. octopus & meat. Sent these back & 2 minutes later sausage arrived, 2nd dish of black olives & 1 piece of hellim (Steady). Finished these & chicken kebab FINALLY arrived (after meze finished); 4 pieces of chicken on a skewer no peppers, mushrooms, hellim or rice etc. Not very appealing. Should have all arrived together.

Complained to the manageress who was apologetic & listened to suggestions (inc displaying menu outside). As a gesture only charged us for the wine. Hope things improve. Lovely setting

My wife and I went there recently, initially I was impressed, A: with waiters (cute Costumes) B: the fact they took the whisky to the table and left it with me. C: the owners cute bum D: Marvellous setting (ambiance)



Unimpressed with A: Food worst I have had yet !!! B: Cute Waiters slow reactions and service C: owners Husband, German Git !!!! D: the live Music, (I really wanted to kill myself by now)



Will I go back..........Nope !

Teos place at the back of Lapta Village.......million times better, but I havn't been for a while....hope he is surviving !



Mind you best place I have eaten is Home !!! Chef knows exactly what I like, how I like it, AND I get to sleep with her at the end of the night (after I have done the dishes, and cleaned the Kitchen)

Charcos is a favourite of mine and I thought the Blue Door was very similar.



So sorry that others did not enjoy their meal but we all enjoyed ours. My pet hate is frozen veg and we certainly did not get frozen chips. The food was beautifully cooked; two chicken shish and two mixed grills.

I have been here - personally thought it was nice - everyone in our party enjoyed what was served - no complaints here - it has been compared to Charcos - for me this place is far superior!
