What is the best way to give a very clever, large, and could be vicious if not careful cat a worming tablet. Tried the throat route, not a chance need a tetanus jab now. He only really eats dried food so difficult to disguise there. Not my cat so would like it to remain alive if possible after this battle. Steve

You could try crushing it, and mixing it with some cream cheese - then roll it up into a large pellet, which you can leave innocuously with the dried food... Mine seem to like the PRAWN flavoured cheese that comes in those big 'toothpaste tube' thingies - although they WILL make do with HAM, at a pinch! Try Illeli or Tempo if you can't find it anywhere else...

tarry67 - I also have problems with one of my cats and the tablets here. However, Steve at Lambousa Market (stall just below the steps) sells a de-wormer that you can "spot on" the cat just like frontline. It was no trouble to administer and seemed to work. He also sells tubes of cream for the same purpose, but I have not tried this yet.
