I've noticed while looking for rental property that most of the sites advertise the monthly price in sterling... Does anyone know why? Is there a site that advertises in TL? As most people working will be earning in TL surely it makes more sense to advertise properties in the local currency???

Hi Bewitched, I think it is because the majority of people who rent their properties are Brits. Wherever you are in the world you always tend to convert the local currency in to sterling so that you know what the item costs. As the currency fluctuates up and down I think it is safer setting the rental prices in sterling to protect your rental income. The butlers wife

Ah ok. That makes more sense! Its just trying to work out what would be affordable in TL makes it a bit confusing! Maths was never my strong point lol

Bewitched Just multiply the sterling cost by 2.35 and you will have a fairly accurate idea of the cost in TL. Paul
