Sarah,



We will be changing our insurance company next year, and I wonder if you can tell me how your company would handle this situation.



Recently there was a fire in the ravine adjacent to our home, and during the fire fighting effort our garden gate and wall were damaged, probably by a JCB building a fire defence. We have a policy with Can Sigorta that covers "land vehicle impact" as well as buildings, smoke, accidental damage, even earthquake cover and "aircraft impact", yet they are refusing our claim for the wall and gate damage, saying "walls and gates are not covered".



It seems rather pointless paying for "land vehicle imact", as the thing the vehicle will impact, is a wall or gate.

What would your policy cover in this situation?, I feel our Can Sigorta policy is probably not worth the paper it is printed on

Steve is the best broker I have known - now resident here - in past insurance investigator in UK - had policy for 4 days this year prior to Feb storms, pool total loss Steve fixed it in 2 weeks, no troubles no mess can't recommend this guy enough, all English staff etc

Steve is recovering from his triple heart bypass and will hopefully be out of hospital over the weekend....many thanks from him to all who have all been asking and emailing

Got to say how disappointed I am with this. I got a quote from you and when someone came they advised you had given me the wrong the figure and it nearly doubled!!!! Needless to say I will be going elsewhere.

We had a wall down in the floods.



The claim was dealt with within thee days.



The claim was settled within three weeks.



Can Sigorta's policy docs are useless. AP

Got to repeat, the service I didn't receive from SD was the worst I have come across in insurance anywhere. He couldnt care less once the premium was paid. I have found Creditwest very helpful and attentive in every way for insurance as well as banking.
