If you are talking about Girne PS to start Temporary Residency renewal. They are only open until 11.45 am & you need to get there by 7.30 am to get a number for the queuing system. If you arrive later than 9am you are likely to be sent away to return another day. If you arrive at 7 am you may be the first in the queue. Gone are the days when this bit was easy, at least certainly for this summer. If you are asking another question then please post again?

The good news is though that collecting your residency from Lefkosa is getting easier. Went this morning arrived at about 7.20 and were 16 and 17 on the list. Doors opened about 7.45, tickets issued on the dot of 8 and we were all done and dusted by 9am. They now have a ticket number machine in the waiting room so you know when to go in and the staff are serving more than one at a time so very quick.

pha, the turks take no notice of numbering, they just walk in and expect to be seen. Same in HSBC, wait until your number comes up and some local without a ticket jumps in. (As they say 'When in Rome')

In this instance they have to Mike. The guy that issues the tickets also works in the offfice and those that tried to go straight in were given a ticket and told to wait like everyone else.

we were at the police station this morning got there at 7.20 we got ticket no 22 we were seen at 10am - progress I think not - the previous years we have walked in at 8am and been out by 8.30. they seem to take 2 steps back and another 5 steps further back. We were at the desk being seen to and a guy came to the side of me and put his passport on top of our things, i said Hayir ( no) he took no notice and the policeman picked up his passport and dealt with him!!!! speechless or priceless dont know which TT's Liz
