I am getting married next Sept at in Kyrenia and have been looked at the cost of flowers I have been quoted a lot of money for bouquets and table decorations for roses etc. Does anyone know if I can have local flowers instead which are cheaper and can anyone suggest a florist that would charge me decent prices to do this?

Char flowers have to be imported here that is why they are expensive, roses more so. The cheaper options are Gerbera or carnations.

I think that you will find that fresh flowers will wilt in the heat. My daughter married in Barbados, we were advised aginst table flowers. They would only make the bouqets out of certain flowers as the more traditional ones die so quickly in the heat.

I'm getting married at Bellapis next June and am struggling to decide what to do about flowers. I have been advised to go artificial due to flowers wilting but have seen some bouquets and they just don't look right. I initially wanted lillies or cala lillies but now think I may need to rethink this, any recommendations for local flowers which will be easily available early June and not to costly??
