I thought Blackpool competed well until the sending off against an Arsenal in full flow. Unfortunately for them they could not cope with that and Walcott (proving once more that it was insane that he was not in the world cup squad). Credit to Blackpool for continuing to play their football for all to enjoy as I can think of some sides in the Premiership where such adversity would have brought the response of kicking Arsenal players up in the air all over the pitch.

I think a lot of credit should go to Blackpool and their fans . They didn't hoof it up the field , they played football . Unfortunately they met up with Theo Walcot on fire ! The sending off certainly did change the game but to be honest the mood that the Arsenal were in , i don't think it would have made much difference if Blackpool had all eleven players . I just loved the orange lot in the corner !!!

Cum on you Blues. Back to back again ? Mind you 1st half hour Wigan played well. The Gunners play great football to watch but lets see them do it against a top four team. Time will tell it's a long old season

Harsh decision on the s/o for me - but then i'm biased We were never realistically going to get points as The Emirates so with ten men for the majority of the game we were always going to get mauled Accept the point about the profile of the boardroom - thats out of our control as fans Karl Oyston is simply trying to avoid paying his ex wife her divorce settlement which is typical of him The Oyston family are still very wealthy Where i feel B'pool do act a role models is in refusing to bankrupt our club ( which operates and has always operated in profit ) in paying players and agents Hopefully other clubs will follow our lead and we will avoid the problems Hull Portsmouth Leeds ....etc etc get themselves into in the future If we can stay up paying a max £10k pw that will be one hell of an achievement
