| Yet another good meal at Fragata, Kayalar. We started with 3 excellent and different Meze. Fresh Sea bream marinated in apple vinegar. This was delicious in flavour and texture, a small triumph. Levrek with garlic and olive oil. Lightly cooked flakes of fish marinated in garlic and oil – we could have eaten it as main course, it was so enjoyable. Patlican salad – not the creamy white traditional salad we are used to, but this was with a little red pepper, onion , garlic and just a hint of hot chilli. Very good, a second portion was willingly served. All this was presented with a plate of good country bread lightly grilled and a dish of olive oil with a generous amount of balsamic sauce. |

| Our Fangri, main course, was a large fish, cooked over charcoal , perhaps a little too long for taste. “ 15 minutes ” said the chef. 12 would have been perfect. But it was still very enjoyable. Sam the manager, waited on us, this service could not have been better. Attentive but not overly so , concerned that we enjoyed the food and knowledgeable too. Fragata is certainly worth the 5 km journey from the Karsyaka / Guzelyali road. |
